Enabling SpeedStep with the 100 /400 models
There is now a SpeedStep support for the Toshiba
3000-100 and
Toshiba 3000-400. To enable this support, you have to first
edit the Makefile, and to uncomment the line:
# SPEEDSTEPCFLAGS = -DCONFIG_TOSH3k_SPEEDSTEP
Other Laptops
Other laptops are not supported. It is possible
that your system will hang
with this support on others laptops. Also, for other laptop, it has
been
reported to me that such support work on ACPI. Note also that there
is
now a support with cpufreq for SpeedStep, so it is possible that this
feature
will be removed in the future.
